Veneers

Dental veneers are thin, custom-made shells made to cover the front of your teeth. These tooth-colored shells are bonded to your teeth to change their color, shape, size, or length. Dr. Carol Halloran may recommend dental veneers in Waterloo, Iowa, to fix the following problems:

  • Discolored teeth
  • Worn down teeth
  • Chipped or broken teeth
  • Crooked or uneven teeth
  • Irregularly shaped teeth
  • Gaps or spaces between teeth

In preparation for a veneer, our dentist will have a consultation with you. Your goals will be discussed and Dr. Carol Halloran will examine your teeth. To make room in your mouth for a veneer, a small amount of tooth enamel will be removed. Then an impression will be made of your tooth for the construction of the veneer. When the veneer is constructed, our dentist will check its fit and the color by temporarily placing it in your mouth. Any necessary alterations will be made to achieve the proper fit. Your tooth is then cleaned, polished, and roughened to allow for a strong bonding process. The veneer is then bonded to your tooth using a special cement and light. Finally, any excess cement is removed and our dentist will evaluate your bite. Any adjustments are made as necessary.Call Crossroads Dental today to learn more and to schedule a consultation!
